The Valentine's Day Card that Started it All
The first of the Photoshopped spectaculars, created for my husband in homage of a poster he found in Cairo with a similar disregard for proportion or scale. That's us on the roof. But that's not our real house.

Noch Schneeballen
Strombeek and Louie have been working on flattening the Schneeballen Fort like they like to do with packing paper.
Rather, Strombeek is. Louie is busy leaping past and taunting her becaue she can't leap so high or elegantly.

Ein Strombeek Schneeballen
Strombeek found something between the cat castle and the paper packing nest. It reminds me of the schneeballen in structure--a bavarian desert like funnel cake--but molded into a ball.

Nesting
What did Strombeek and Louie do today?

The Enrichment Box
Just like animals at the zoo, house cats need enrichment. Otherwise they (um, Strombeek) get lazy and fat.
I'd picked some catnip growing in the yard, but they just kicked it around the house and made a big mess. Until I put it in this box...and added some toys and packing paper--their favorite!

Packing Paper Canoes
If the Photoshopped extravaganza in the last entry didn't make total sense, the packing paper is like a canoe on the hardwood floor. Usually the cats each hang out on their own raft, but Louie has hitched a ride on the back of Strombeek's.
