The Valentine's Day Card that Started it All
The Valentine's Day Card that Started it All
The first of the Photoshopped spectaculars, created for my husband in homage of a poster he found in Cairo with a similar disregard for proportion or scale. That's us on the roof. But that's not our real house.

Waiting for the Raptor
According to this posting, coyotes have been coming down from the hills and snatching small dogs off leashes.
It occurred to me that if pickings are so scarce out there, maybe the raptors are also especially hungry.

Sherpa Conditioning #1
Strombeek doesn't like the sound of "conditioning." But Arthur read an article. It said that if you want to take your cats on an airplane it's a good idea to get them used to the Sherpas (their carriers). Otherwise, they just assume they must be going to the vet. And cats don't really like to go to the vet.

Calendar Preview
I realized that it was already April and I hadn't yet done any of the calendar pages for 2013. Four months behind, so time to get started. This is a teaser of a detail of the first calendar page done for 2013. I'm not sure which month yet, but the image is even better in its entirety.

The First Day of September!
The crowning achievement of this picture is probably the cake. This was completely Photoshopped in to take up a big glaring hole of nothingness, and the light seemed to work perfectly. There were a number of these photos from this shoot (shown below), and rather than choose one, I ended up compiling the best components from different ones. Apparently Louie wasn't ready for this kind of harvest bacchanalia, and the only decent image I was able to capture was him in the process of fleeing. Out the Window
My REI comfort lounger chair finally arrived. Now I can work outside. The cats are jealous. Louie's like, hey, isn't that my lime tree? (See, that's his head peeking out the window, staring at the lime tree hidden behind the pagoda. He's got sharp eyes, that one.)

Snowed In!
