Having a Treat Ball

For the first week of Strombeek's diet, I discontinued the use of the treat ball.

She is supposed to be restricted to 240 calories a day, but she had trouble getting that much wet food into her belly.

Then after the storming of both cardboard castles and burrowing her way into the kibble bag, I decided such determination was worthy of a reward.

1 feline greenie = 2 calories. I limit her to 10. She's got to exert at least that much hitting it around, right?

Strombeek's Mother's Day Belly

The thing about making "bite-sized" cookies for cats is that their mouths are really small (even when their bellies are really big). This means that a batch makes between 200-300 cookies. That's a lot of fishy marble-sized balls to roll!

As her Mother's Day present to me, Strombeek plans to put them all in her belly.

Cinco de Mayo Treats

For Christmas the cats got a cat treat cookbook. Strombeek thinks she needs some homemade treats for her Cinco de Mayo piñata.  How about whipping her up a little something? She may not be losing weight, but she certainly isn't gaining any!
