Stormin' the Kibble Kastle

Since the Cat Castle renovations were proven to be inadequate, it was time to start anew with a fresh castle--The Kibble Kastle.

Louie comes to check it out. Strombeek insists that I've done it this time--there's no way she can possibly fit.

Louie attempts to go in.

But he's defeated! He insists he can't fit. I suspect Strombeek may have put him up to this, but it's dawning on me that my worst fear may be true--that their overall proportions even out to the same approximate size when it comes to entering confined spaces through a hole cut in cardboard.

Strombeek thinks she'll have a go at the food through a window.

She actually manages to shovel out a good portion of the kibble and even pull out a feline greenie with her paw!

So I close the "windows" and push the box up against the wall.

Only now that the box is secured against a wall, it seems the front door will do her even better.

I immediately grab the cat food bowl, but she's already knocked all the kibble out into the box! So I struggle to scoop it out while she tries to eat as much as she can before I do.

Oh, hey! More kibble! Thanks.

We'll try again with the diet tomorrow. . .
